The Days of York
Been in York for the past few days and it has been quite interesting. So many bachelor/bachelorette parties and other tourists that came in for the horse races that apparently only happen once a year.
York is such an old historical town with so much Viking history which I have been all about.
We spent sabbath at the Lake District and took a hike around the lake and saw Dove Cottage, where Woodworth lived and got me wondering why we don't name our houses anymore. It is so romantic and sweet. It was a cute little town with lots of charm.
Today we walked around town, visited the York shambles, and went up the Minster Cathedral and climbed the tower. It is still very hot here, unfortunately. But all is well.
Been walking a lot, eating a lot of good food, and more ice cream than my body can handle.
Off to London tomorrow!
Cheers!
