So Long Kenya

Hello,

Sorry it has been awhile. I have been worked into the ground and was trying to finish strong. School finished on a high note however. Saturday we went to a local village church and it was fun. I taught children's sabbath school and our class did the actual church service. I was reminded that it isn't where you worship but who you worship that is important.

It was an exhausting day but it was a lot of fun. They fed us lunch before we crammed back int the van and drove the 5 hours back to the school. Traffic here is ridiculous. There are too many people and not enough space on the road.

Sunday we went on a safari and saw a bunch of animals. (pictures on Facebook, I will post some on here later) Safari Lauren is a lot more fun that Snorkel Epp let me tell you. haha. I saw giraffes and zebras which were definitely my favorite. We went shopping at a local market afterwards, and I may have bought too much stuff, because I had a lot of trouble backing. We went to a restaurant for lunch and I had coffee and a chicken burger with fries and I almost cried I was so happy.

I am headed to Malawi this morning, where I will be living with two other students, doing the practicum or "homework" part of our classes. Basically the last few weeks they spent training us now we have to go to the actual work, so we will see how that goes.

I have had a great time over all and have been learning a lot. I am excited to see what will happen in the future as I continue to work through these transitions. I am also looking forward to different food and different schedule. I have been so exhausted and a change of pace is very welcomed.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they are very appreciated as you know I do not do well with transitions, unknowns, and change, which I am basically in a state of all the time here. I love you all and hope to see you all soon!
